If you are a new seller you may want to start by selling items in your garage that you no longer need.  Or even start by helping your neighbors get rid of their excess stuff.

Next turn to hobbies and interests.  Sell something you know about. Almost everyone collects "something."If you are knowledgeable about a collectible or an art object, then you have the ability to do the research to find the product prices you can resell.

Drop shipping is another strategy used by new sellers. If you use drop shipping method you should take caution. If the drop shipper is out of stock or some how messes up your order, it is your feedback from the customers that will suffer.  If you are strapped for cash you can use drop shipprs temporarily as soon as you can afford to buy wholesale from direct wholesalers and/or distributors.

One last advice is to sell niche items.  Find a niche market, learn everything about it and learn ways to sell your niche.
