Tips for Selling on Clickbank

There are two components to becoming a successful ClickBank affiliate marketer. The first is to have a successful marketing strategy. The second is to have skill in choosing the products that produce good income.

When choosing products to market, you need to find out how well a product is selling. This is more difficult to determine if the product has just been released, but if the product has been available for some time, you can check its gravity score. A product's gravity score will give an indication of how successfully a product is selling. Look for a product with a gravity score between 10 and 100. If you find a product with a score over 100, it's obviously a winner. However, you may be facing some tough competition marketing it as it's apparent that other affiliates have already discovered it.

Try and spot products that are on an upward movement. Look for several newly released products, a couple of dozen perhaps. Track these for a couple of weeks or so. Watch out for a consistent rise in gravity score. This will tell you that the product is well received by the market and is selling. Since it's a new product, the competition won't be stiff yet. Get on the wagon and ride it for as long as it's being productive for you.

One way to measure a new product is to look at its pitch page. Is the merchant's webpage done well? Is the copy appealing? Does it do a good job of convincing the reader to want the product? To want it enough to buy it? If it does, then the product has potential.

Another thing you want to do is to look at the rate of return. ClickBank doesn't publicize this information but there are sites online where you can find the information. A product with more than 20% return rate is probably not a good candidate. You want a product that has a 10% or less rate of return. Occasionally, a higher return rate may be acceptable if you spot a product with a high conversion rate and a generous commission. You need to do the math and see if it's worth it for you.

From time to time, go over the ClickBank inventory. You may find a product that has yet to be discovered, that has yet to fulfill its potential. Even if it has a gravity score of zero, don't discount it. See how much traffic the product's niche receives? If there's a fair amount of traffic, then do some promoting and see what kind of a response you get. Who knows? It may surprise you. If it does, focus on it while it's still almost exclusively yours and get as much out of it as you can.
